a red barn in Klamath county

This barn makes its stand in southern Oregon.

My friend Dave and I were on a short road trip through southern Oregon wandering around fish hatcheries and small towns.  Dave was fly fishing while I was shooting some photos. Along the way we saw this peaceful scene of an old barn making its stand in a vast field.

I’ve mentioned before that I geotag all my photos.  I think it is super cool that you can see this barn on the satellite photos in Google Maps!  Guess I’m just geeky that way :)

into the fog

It seems like it has been foggy near our home everyday for the last few weeks. Really neat banks of fog roll in and out of the Columbia River Gorge and while I was out road biking I came across this stand of trees that just perfect faded off into the distance.

sunset in nebraska

I was on a trip to Death Valley, California and driving home to Minneapolis.  After just leaving the mountains in Utah and Wyoming, I didn’t expect to have a spectacular sunset but while cruising east on I-80, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw this.  I pulled over at the next overpass and scrambled up the side with my camera to get a photo, glad I stopped!
